This one day workshop is an introduction to the Mindfulness practices that are part of the eight week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR) as developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at Mass Medical Center in 1979. During this one day workshop you will experience some formal and informal practices that you can integrate into your daily life right away. If you are new to mindfulness practices or wanting to strengthen your practice, this workshop will be a valuable resource for you. Research has proven the benefits of Mindfulness practice and its effects on physical and mental health. Take a day out of your busy schedule to experience and explore how mindfulness can increase resilience and reduce the effects of stress on body and mind. Bernice Parent is a certified Mindfulness and Yoga instructor and has been teaching Mindfulness programs for over 10 years within the community to various health, workplace, educational and volunteer organizations.
